Summer Sangria Recipes
After a long, hot summer day nothing beats a crisp, refreshing beverage. From cookouts to a quiet evening at home, sangria is always a crowd pleaser. Whether you are a fan of red, white or blush wines, we have the sangria to please your taste buds.
Mixed Berry Sangria
1lb. fresh strawberries, hulled and washed
6 oz. fresh blueberries, washed
6 oz. fresh blackberries, washed
2 bottles white wine
½ c. ginger ale
In a large pitcher, add fresh fruit and wine. Allow the mixture to sit for at least 4 hours, ideally overnight. Mix in the ginger ale before serving.
Red Wine Sangria
1 bottle merlot
1 lemon, cut into wedges
1 orange, cut into wedges
2-3 tbs. sugar
2 shots rum
2 c. club soda
In a large pitcher, combine wine, rum, sugar, lemon and lime slices. Muddle fruit to dissolve sugar and release juice. Store in refrigerator. Add club soda before serving. Serve over ice and fruit.
Peach Rose Sangria
1 bottle rose wine
½ c. peach liqueur
1 c. white peach juice
1/3 c. simple syrup
3 peaches, sliced
1 cup strawberries or raspberries, sliced
Combine wine, liqueur, juice and simple syrup in a large pitcher. Add fruit and refrigerate overnight. Served chilled and over ice.
