Bringing Greek Flavors to Your Kitchen

Whether it’s an afternoon snack or an appetizer for guests, Greek spreads and dips are the perfect addition to any meal. The Spicy Feta Spread and Tzatziki are not only filled with flavor, but they are simple to make at home. These dips along with fresh vegetables and pita slices will bring the tastes of the Mediterranean to your kitchen.

Spicy Feta Spread
1 c. crumbled feta
¼ c. chopped hot peppers
½ c. roasted red peppers
1 c. Greek yogurt
1 tsp. lemon juice

Place feta crumbles in food processor and pulse to create uniformly small crumbles. Place feta in a bowl. Puree red and hot peppers in food processor until smooth. Combine pepper puree, Greek yogurt, and lemon juice with feta crumbles. Mix to create an even texture and color.

Tzatziki
2 c. plain yogurt
1 cucumber
a few sprigs of chopped dill
a few cloves of chopped garlic
salt
½ tsp. pepper
½ tbs. red vinegar
2 tbs. olive oil

Place yogurt in large bowl. Remove ends of cucumber and shred. Use a towel to thoroughly drain cucumbers. Combine cucumber shreds with yogurt, chopped dill, vinegar, salt, pepper and oil. Mix well.
